Im Zentrum steht das antike Bild des Ouroboros, einer Schlange, die sich in den eigenen Schwanz bei\u00dft.<br \/>\nDas Teilen eines unkontrollierten Desktop-Bildschirms mit dem Publikum verk\u00f6rpert die Situation, mit der wir seit Beginn der Corona-Pandemie konfrontiert sind. Das empfangen von einer Flut an Informationen symbolisiert dieses Zeitalter als eine Schleife.<br \/>\nAllerdings gibt es in dieser Arbeit eine versteckte Chance f\u00fcr den Beobachter, die Initiative zu ergreifen und die Situation zu durchbrechen. Nur aktive Zuschauer k\u00f6nnen \u00fcber einen QR-Code in die n\u00e4chste Dimension wechseln, es liegt ganz bei ihnen. Ihr Fokus gilt Themen wie dem Wesen der Relativit\u00e4t, Kultur und Menschlichkeit und untersucht in ihrer k\u00fcnstlerischen Praxis Umwelt, Architektur, Einwanderung und Fluidit\u00e4t des Seins.<br \/>\n<strong>Gerard Lebik<\/strong>s Musik- und Klangarbeiten schweben zwischen improvisierten und komponierten Formen. Mittels akustischen und elektronischen Medien besch\u00e4ftigt er sich mit Ph\u00e4nomenen wie Zeit, Raum und der Wahrnehmung von Schallwellen.<br \/>\nLebiks Teil der Performance ist auf Sansibar in Tansania entstanden, wo er derzeit eine Artist Residency hat. Akama spielt dazu in Huddersfield, England.
